The Resident’s Ledger asteroid-capture arc is, in the end, a sequence of addresses. This experiment shows them instead of describing them: one rock’s itinerary through every position discussed, in a true-scale solar system (1 scene unit = 1,000,000 km — Earth orbit is 149.6 units across, and LEO really is that close).
The itinerary, following Entries 092–096:
- Heliocentric hold — the options book: track, wait, exercise when strike meets bid.
- Temporary capture — the minimoon phase: bound for free, weeks to months, no engine required.
- The keeper’s nudge — single-digit m/s turns “temporary” into “permanent.”
- Earth–Moon L4/L5 — the garage: working inventory, zero keeping.
- Sun–Earth L1 — the on-ramp: the interplanetary depot.
- Sun–Earth L2 — the cold vault: 40 K passive, radio-quiet, the tomb with an address.
- Sun–Earth L4/L5 — the armory: stable, empty, half an AU from anything valuable.
- Lunar orbit — the safe harbor.
- GEO — the junction: the only rung where anyone is already paying.
- LEO — the marketplace: home of the desktop, gated by the aerocapture gamble (watch for the glow).
- The salvo — a candle-armed interceptor leaves the armory to meet an incoming threat. Thousands of DARTs of momentum; time heavily compressed.
How to read it
Bodies are screen-sized icons, not to size — distances and orbit radii are honest. The waypoint buttons fly the camera to each address at a framing where that address makes sense; the tour also plays continuously with the scrubber. Time is compressed wildly and inconsistently (the salvo alone represents weeks of candle burn), which is noted on the panel because the ledger insists on honest caveats.
