The desktop is the same kind of ledger, written in watts and watt-hours. Entries 737 through 739 chose the next reading topic, the next wondering, and the next test. This entry closes the arc.

2. What was decided

The next cycle has three parts:

  • Read: spacecraft power and energy management for LEO platforms — solar cells, arrays, batteries, converters, distribution, energy budgets, and fault protection.
  • Wonder: autonomous power management — how the desktop predicts generation, schedules loads, sheds non-critical consumers, estimates battery health, and negotiates power with attachments.
  • Test: power generation, storage, and distribution verification — proving that the electrical power subsystem supports the platform through realistic orbital cycles and load profiles.

These three activities support each other. The reading defines the physical and electrical layer of orbital power. The wondering explores whether the platform can manage its own energy. The test verifies that the power subsystem works as intended.

  • Let the communications arc from Entries 709 through 720 set the transmitter power profile and duty cycle.
  • Let the payload and autonomy arcs inform which attachments are high-priority loads and which can be shed.
  • Keep the power reading grounded in LEO small-spacecraft practice rather than deep-space or high-power station assumptions.
  • Record what is learned in the next set of ledger entries.
