2. What was decided

The next cycle has three parts:

  • Read: spacecraft cybersecurity and secure command authentication.
  • Wonder: autonomous trust boundaries and secure maneuver authorization for the desktop.
  • Test: command authentication and intrusion detection.

These three activities support each other. The reading defines the mechanisms and threats. The wondering explores how those mechanisms interact with autonomous orbit maintenance, power management, and software updates. The test verifies that the command boundary rejects attacks and anomalies without disabling legitimate control.

3. The decided posture

  • Let the propulsion fault recovery test results from Entries 669 through 672 set the baseline for how the platform recovers from low-level faults that might be triggered by security events.
  • Let the cybersecurity reading inform the secure maneuver authorization wondering, keeping it grounded in real cryptographic and operational constraints.
  • Keep the command authentication and intrusion detection test focused on realistic threats: replay, spoofing, expired credentials, anomalous but signed commands, and compromised ground-station scenarios.
  • Record what is learned in the next set of ledger entries.
