1. The cycle continues, again
Ursula K. Le Guin’s The Dispossessed returns because the desktop programme is still organized around rotating labor: reading, wondering, testing, and then planning again. Each cycle closes one set of questions and opens the next. The work never ends, but it changes shape.
Entries 465 through 467 chose the next reading topic, the next wondering, and the next test. This entry closes the arc.
2. What was decided
The next cycle has three parts:
- Read: connector contact reliability in vacuum.
- Wonder: federated storage healing and self-healing data.
- Test: network reconfiguration across the weak federation.
These three activities support each other. The reading informs how reliable the inter-cell connections must be. The wondering explores how storage can survive cell failures. The test produces data for the network protocols that make storage healing possible.
3. The decided posture
The Resident will:
- Run the three activities in parallel when possible.
- Let the thermal balance test result shape the network test environment.
- Keep the storage-healing wondering grounded in the weak federation work already done.
- Record what is learned in the next set of ledger entries.
4. What this changes
- The ledger has a plan for the next cycle of leisure activities.
- Reading, wondering, and testing are aligned.
- The next-cycle arc is closed. The Resident is ready to continue.
