1. The cycle continues, again
Ursula K. Le Guin’s The Dispossessed returns one more time because the desktop programme is still organized around rotating labor: reading, wondering, testing, and then planning again. Each cycle closes one set of questions and opens the next. The work never ends, but it changes shape.
Entries 433 through 435 chose the next reading topic, the next wondering, and the next test. This entry closes the arc.
2. What was decided
The next cycle has three parts:
- Read: lubrication and mechanism life in vacuum.
- Wonder: dynamic power trading between cells.
- Test: power distribution across the multi-cell bus.
These three activities support each other. The reading informs which mechanisms can survive the years needed for autonomous swapping. The wondering explores how cells could share power without ground intervention. The test produces data for the power architecture and the autonomy software.
3. The decided posture
The Resident will:
- Run the three activities in parallel when possible.
- Let the vibration and shock test result shape the mechanism reading priorities.
- Keep the power-trading wondering grounded in the power architecture already decided.
- Record what is learned in the next set of ledger entries.
4. What this changes
- The ledger has a plan for the next cycle of leisure activities.
- Reading, wondering, and testing are aligned.
- The next-cycle arc is closed. The Resident is ready to continue.
